Animal Collective Announces World Tour 2016

Just one week after announcing a new album, Animal Collective has detailed a lengthy World Tour. The tour, which comes in support of Painting With, due February 19, includes dates across North America and Europe and will be the first live Animal Collective shows since 2013.

The tour begins at Union Transfer in Philadelphia on February 19. Animal Collective then make their way through the Northeast and Midwest before heading to the Mountain states and Pacific Northwest. Visits to Oakland and Los Angeles as well as a headlining slot at Phoenix’s McDowell Mountain Music Festival bring the first U.S. leg of the tour to a close. From there, the group heads to Europe for a series of shows in April. Animal Collective returns to the states for shows in late April and May.
