André 3000 Confirms New Blue Sun Live Tour

André 3000 announced 2024 Winter Tour dates around his new instrumental album New Blue Sun. Among the stops on the coast-to-coast trek are New York City, Chicago, San Francisco and the OutKast co-founder’s hometown of Atlanta.

Co-produced with renowned multi-instrumentalist Carlos Niño, André 3000’s New Blue Sun arrived in November 2023 and features André playing wind instruments alongside an ace band. Members of that band — Niño, Nate Mercereau, Surya Botofasina and Deantoni Parks — will join André for the New Blue Sun Live Tour, which gets underway on January 29 at Brooklyn’s Crown Hill Theatre.

A three-night residency from January 31 through February 2 at Manhattan’s famed Blue Note Jazz Club follows with early and late shows each night at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. respectively. André then returns to Brooklyn for a two-night stand at St. Ann & The Holy Trinity Church February 5 and 6.

Next comes a concert at Cliff Bell’s in Detroit on February 8 followed by another two-show outing at Motown’s The Chapel at Masonic Temple on February 9 with shows at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Concerts at Chicago’s Thalia Hall and 1357 N Elston follow on February 12 and 13 respectively ahead of a two-show appearance at the Windy City’s Garfield Park Conservatory on February 15 with 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. shows.

February 20 and 22 will see André at Bimbo’s 365 Club in San Francisco ahead of two shows at The Independent on February 24 in the same city with concerts at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

André then returns home to Atlanta for a three-night stand at the Variety Playhouse February 27 – 29. The ATL run is capped with a concert at the Center Stage Theater on March 2. André 3000 will end the tour with a five-night residency in Los Angeles at The Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever March 5 – 9.
