New Orleans-based musicians Anders Osborne and Stanton Moore performed the National Anthem before yesterday’s NFL playoff game at The Crescent City’s Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The guitarist and Galactic drummer teamed for “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Tipitina’s in NOLA ahead of the hometown Saints’ NFC Divisional Round playoff matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Anders and Stanton brought New Orleans’ flair to their rendition of the anthem with Moore alternating between a shuffle and groove over the course of their two-minute version, while Osborne put a slide to good use. The evening ended on a down note for New Orleans Saints fans as their team lost to Bucs 30 – 20 in what may have been quarterback Drew Brees’ final game.
