ALO confirmed an East Coast tour slated for late-March and early-April 2020. In addition, the quartet released “Ridin’,” the second single from their forthcoming Creatures, Vol. 2: Weave EP.
The band will follow their annual Tour D’Amour run with a series of six East Coast tour dates featuring support from Ben Morrison of The Brothers Comatose. ALO starts the run at The Southern in Charlottesville on March 31 and then hits Washington D.C. on April 1, Ardmore (Pennsylvania) on April 2 and Brooklyn on April 3. Boston’s Great Scott hosts ALO for a two-night stand to close the run on April 4 and 5. Tickets are on sale now.
“Ridin'” was penned by ALO’s Lebo (Dan Lebowitz). The tune is one of four included on Creatures, Vol. 2: Weave, which is set for release on January 24. “The melody for ‘Ridin” had been kickin’ around inside my head for many years. A few days before we went into the studio this last time, it manifested into a song,” explained Lebo. “I think that the line ‘As long as we can get up and sing our song, there isn’t anything that can do us wrong’, really gets to the heart of it. It’s a song of optimism – the idea that putting energy into that which you really love will bear the sweetest of fruits!”
