Headlights is due on July 18 via RCA Records. Recorded with co-producer and longtime collaborator Jacob Portrait, the follow-up to 2022’s God Save The Animals marks Alex G’s 10th studio album and major label debut.

While the previous Headlights single “Afterlife” went heavy on mandolin, there’s bursts of accordion throughout “June Guitar.” The song has Bruce Hornsby, Bon Iver and Tracy Chapman vibes, yet is pure Alex G.

The “June Guitar” video finds Alex G and his band performing the beautiful song in a house. Alex switches between acoustic guitar and the accordion and handles lead vocal duties. Everyone joins hands and dances around the room with joy to conclude the visual.
