AJ Lee & Blue Summit are featured in the debut episode of Sessions, a new immersive video series created for the Apple Vision Pro platform. The video, produced by The Spatialists, showcases the bluegrass outfit performing songs from their latest album, City Of Glass, and more.

AJ Lee & Blue Summit were recorded in an intimate setting designed to take advantage of the Vision Pro’s immersive capabilities. Sessions Episode One is currently available in the U.S. via the Apple App Store through Prima Immersive, a new immersive media content app.

The production utilized proprietary technology from Immersive Company, including custom camera systems and advanced post-processing software. The video is enhanced by an Atmos mix by Michael Romanowski, a three-time Grammy winner for Best Immersive Audio Album.

“We wanted to create a music experience that truly delivers on the promise of virtual reality,” said Tom Rettig, The Spatialists founder and president. “Our recording of AJ Lee and Blue Summit places fans directly in their live session, capturing the raw energy and intimacy of the band’s acoustic performance like never before.”

AJ Lee & Blue Summit’s Sessions performance featured the City Of Glass title track, and fellow album cut, “I Still Think Of Her.” The three-song set wrapped with “Faithful,” from the group’s 2021 sophomore album, I’ll Come Back.

“Directing for immersive video on the Vision Pro opens up a whole new realm of storytelling,” said the video’s director, Velvy Appleton. “Working with AJ Lee and Blue Summit, who bring such authenticity to their music, made this project truly special. The Vision Pro captures their energy and emotion with a presence that traditional media simply can’t match. We believe this kind of production will inspire other artists and producers to experiment with the platform and further push the boundaries of creativity.”

The Spatialists are expected to release additional immersive Sessions episodes featuring other musicians this year.
