Comedian/musician Adam Sandler was among contributors to “Tom Petty's 70th Birthday Bash,” a livestream special that premiered last October in honor of the late musician. Sandler performed Petty’s “Yer So Bad” for the tribute and video of the cover has been shared on the Tom Petty Instagram page.

“Tom Petty, loved that man, loved him so, such a nice nice guy, such a funny funny person,” Sandler said before the performance. “Every time I was around him I felt so lucky, I walked away just thinking about it and everything he said and how cool he was.”

Petty co-wrote “Yer So Bad” with Jeff Lynne for inclusion on his debut solo album, 1989’s Full Moon Fever. “This tune means a lot to me because my daughter and I, she’s learning to play guitar, and we jam on this one together,” Sandler added.
