A Behind The Scenes Look At Phish In Austin

One of the production workers who helped put on last night’s Phish show in Austin was local resident and huge Phish fan Mike Hanley. Mike has seen
the band nearly 100 times since 1996 and has been in the event production industry
since
2002. Hanley tweeted throughout the day and night giving his fellow fans a behind-
the-scenes look at what goes into putting on a Phish show.
Mike documented load-in, soundcheck, the show itself and load-out on Tuesday in
Austin. He gave tips to anyone who asked and showed off backstage and areas only crew
members could access. Hanley shared a fun fact with us – he walked over 26,000 steps
or 13 miles – so if anyone ever wants to have a career helping put on Phish concerts,
they are quite the workout.
