10,000 Maniacs announced a reissue of their multi-platinum MTV Unplugged live album, arriving in CD and for the first time vinyl formats on September 6 via Rhino. The collection contains bonus tracks not on the original release which feature Talking Heads’ David Byrne, including a cover of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene.”

10,000 Maniacs’ MTV Unplugged (Expanded Edition) marked the band’s final recording with lead singer Natalie Merchant before she embarked on her solo career. The Unplugged performance features a career-spanning selection of songs including favorites from the group’s previous studio albums, In My Tribe (1987), Blind Man’s Zoo (1989) and Our Time in Eden (1992).
