Bonnaroo To Host Throwback Superjam

One of the more exciting sets at Bonnaroo each year is the Superjam festival organizers put together. Trey Anastasio, Questlove, Jim James, John Oates, D’Angelo, Derek Trucks, Dr. John and John Paul Jones are among the musicians who have performed as part of past Bonnaroo Superjams. Today, the theme and lineup for this year’s Superjam have been revealed: Throwback Superjam Dance Party.

The Throwback Superjam Dance Party will take place on Sunday morning, June 14 at 1:30 a.m. featuring Pretty Lights, Rob Trujillo (Metallica), DMC (Run DMC), Jack Antonoff (Bleachers), Chance The Rapper, Reggie Watts, Eric Krasno, Jamie Lidell, John Medeski, Karl Denson, Oteil Burbridge, Brian Coogan, Robert “Sput” Searight (Snarky Puppy) and Brownout Horns. The core band will be joined by special guests including Cherub and Rhiannon Giddens. You can always count on many surprises during the Superjam and we expect this year won’t be any different.

Billy Joel, Mumford & Sons, Robert Plant & The Sensational Space Shifters, My Morning Jacket and Alabama Shakes are just a few of the artists set to play Bonnaroo this June.
