There’s no music festival quite like Jam Cruise. From the time you board the Divina until the time you leave, you’re entering an environment designed down to the smallest detail by live music lovers for live music lovers. Cruisers have plenty of opportunities to hang with the musicians in a relaxed environment, can partake in dozens of music-related activities and witness a slew of once-in-a-lifetime collaborations. The initial lineup is only the beginning as additional performers, collaborations, Artists-at-Large, activities and excursions will be announced throughout 2015 ahead of the cruise.
A number of artists will join the Jam Cruise family in January including Dr. John & The Nite Trippers, Brownout, Con Brio, Cabinet, The Floozies, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, TAUK, Twiddle and The Werks. Jam Cruise 14 also features plenty of acts known for their yearly Jam Cruise appearances such as Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Galactic and Eric Krasno, who’ll be on board with both Lettuce and Soulive. Anders Osborne returns to Jam Cruise in 2016 not only with his solo band but also as part of the Southern Soul Assemby project with Luther Dickinson, JJ Grey and Marc Broussard. Others set to return to Jam Cruise after taking at least a year off include Marco Benevento, ALO, Keller Williams (both solo and with More Than A Little), Lotus, The New Mastersounds and Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue.
A bevy of special guests who will perform with other artists on the boat announced today include Fred Wesley, Mike Dillon, Col. Bruce Hampton, Anders Beck, Paul Hoffman, Amy Helm and Holly Bowling. This year’s Masters Camp At Sea program will feature Stanley Jordan, Vernon Reid, George Porter Jr., Johnny Vidocovich and Daniel Lamb. Singer-songwriter Nathan Moore will return to Jam Cruise once again this January, so you can expect to see “The Spot” revived once more aboard the Divina. Sacred steel specialist Roosevelt Collier has been tapped to lead Jam Cruise 14’s Super Jam.
Cabins go on sale to all who reserved a spot in the pre-book period during token redemption starting May 5. Rooms go up for grabs to the general public on May 14 at 12 p.m. ET. Jam Cruise 14 will visit the ports of Belize City, Belize and Cozumel, Mexico in January. Head to the Jam Cruise website for more information about ticketing and the trip itself. Stay tuned for additional Jam Cruise 14 announcements.
