Weir & Oates | Bob Weir To Guest With John Oates On Sunday

This Sunday night, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer John Oates will play Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California. Oates, who’s best known for his work with Daryl Hall in legendary act Hall & Oates, has revealed Bob Weir will sit in at Sweetwater on Sunday.

Oates & Weir’s friendship dates back to the ’80s. Hall, Oates and members of their band sat in with the Grateful Dead at Madison Square Garden on September 24, 1988 as part of a Rainforest Benefit show. A few years later, Bobby & John teamed up for a 200-mile mountain bike trip through national forests in Montana.

John Oates has been no stranger to the jam scene in recent years as he’s sat in with the likes of moe., Umphrey’s McGee and Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe. Oates announced Weir’s upcoming appearance via Twitter:
