7 Walkers Reunites For Private Party In Conneticut

In between Bill Kreutzmann’s performances with the Disco Biscuits on Thursday night in Washington, D.C. and on Saturday night at Gathering Of The Vibes, the Grateful Dead drummer reunited a version of his 7 Walkers ensemble to perform at a private party in Greenwich, CT on Friday.

The core band for the set featured Kreutzmann joined by guitarist Papa Mali, bassist Reed Mathis, keyboardist Matt Hubbard and drummer Wally Ingram. Keller Williams, Eric McFadden and Col. Bruce Hampton also made appearances at various points of the performance, which took place on Jerry Garcia’s birthday. This variation of 7 Walkers mixed Grateful Dead classics with originals and covers of the Rolling Stones’ “Jumping Jack Flash” and “Sultans Of Swing” by Dire Straits.
