Sister Sparrow Helps Launch Phases Of The Moon Tunes

The inaugural Phases Of The Moon music festival will take place September 11 -14 at Kennekuk County Park in Danville, IL featuring a bevy of JamBase favorites including Widespread Panic, String Cheese Incident, Bob Weir & RatDog, Railroad Earth, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Gov’t Mule and Galactic. The organizers of the event have come up with an inventive way to promote the festival with the launch of a series of videos dubbed “Moon Tunes.”

Each Moon Tunes video will find a Phases performer covering a moon-related song. Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds were enlisted for the first installment and they picked King Harvest’s “Dancing In The Moonlight.” We love the acoustic version of the ’70s classic the band laid down. Take a look:
