Report: Gregg Allman To Be Added To Christmas Jam

UPDATE: It’s official! Gregg Allman has been added to the lineup.

Just in case you didn’t think the lineup for the 25th Annual Christmas Jam was stacked enough, host Warren Haynes has told an Asheville journalist that Gregg Allman will be added. Jake Frankel of Asheville’s Mountain Xpress shared the news that Allman will perform an acoustic duo set with Warren on Friday (Dec. 13) followed by an electric set together on Saturday (Dec. 14) at the US Cellular Center.

Gregg last appeared at the 2010 Christmas Jam as a solo artist after visiting with the Allman Brothers Band in 2008. Widespread Panic, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Michael Franti, Gov’t Mule, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Keb Mo, OAR (Of A Revolution), Phil Lesh Quintet, Sco-Mule and The John Scofield Uberjam Band as well as special guests Bill Evans, Roosevelt Collier, Mike Barnes, Ike Stubblefield, Ron Holloway, Randall Bramblett and Kevn Kinney were previously announced Christmas Jam 2013 participants.
