After a fire destroyed much of the original Skrine Chops restaurant on Madison St. in downtown Forest Park a couple years ago, owner Steve Skrine got to work. He (a carpenter himself) and a team of craftsmen acquired wood from abandoned barns in Wisconsin and created a beautifully crafted 2nd floor bar, dining area, and music venue. This is the site for a night of intimate acoustic music - JACK STRAW style - playing the music of the Dead, Phish, Beatles, Floyd and much more. This is also a going away party for the the Bland family - our good friends from Forest Park who move now to North Carolina.
