Heavywater
Heavywater Heavywater is a seductive and rollicking four-piece Americana rock band from Long Beach Calif. As fans of rock, folk and roots music, the group manages to parlay its influences into a refreshingly accessible and entirely updated sound.
Longtime collaborators Travis King and Jeff Carbone co-manage guitar and vocal duties with Brandon Allen and Scotty Brown rounding out the rhythm section on drums and bass, respectively. With its current lineup together since just January 2009, the band recently released its self-titled debut album (available for sale on most major online distributors) and aims to finish its follow-up by June 2010.
Through incessant gigging throughout their Southern California home turf, the band has taken a grassroots approach to earning and converting fans. Look for Heavywater on their 2010 summer tour, as well as at headlining shows at L.A. area venues. For fans of Wilco, Ryan Adams, The Drive By Truckers, My Morning Jacket, and The Grateful Dead, catching Heavywater live will serve as a major triumph.
