A FUNKY AFFAIR: DUMPSTAPHUNK & REBIRTH BRASS BAND
PRESENT VOODOO AFTER DARK

Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk
Two of New Orleans’ most recognizable funk ensembles — Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk and the Rebirth Brass Band — will host a boogie down funk frenzy after Voodoo Festival Friday, Oct. 26 at the Howlin’ Wolf. Click here to buy tickets.

The last time Dumpstaphunk donned the stage in New Orleans was the Jazzfest After Dark finale last May at Tipitina’s — a true family affair that will go down in history as the last time all four founding members of the Neville Brothers performed at the legendary club. Since that night, Ivan Neville’s all star funk outfit brought the spirit of Jazzfest to some of the biggest music events of the year, such as Bonnaroo and Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival.

Friday’s “Voodoo After Dark” show will once again treat fans to special guests and cross-collaborations, with Dumpstaphunk debuting new songs from their forthcoming album, Dirty Word, which will feature Rebirth Brass Band in the studio when it drops in January 2013.

Following the two powerhouse sets, the Howlin’ Wolf will also host a late night super jam featuring Terence Higgins, Eric McFadden, Eddie Roberts and Adam Scone to name a few.

A portion of the event proceeds will go to help friend and former Galactic frontman Theryl Houseman DeClouet‘s mounting medical bills from his 7 year struggle with ESRD as he waits for a donor kidney.
