K’NAAN SET TO RELEASE COUNTRY, GOD OR THE GIRL ON OCTOBER 16, NATIONAL TOUR ANNOUNCED
Critically acclaimed hip-hop MC/singer/songwriter and activist, K’naan, has announced his highly anticipated third album, Country, God or The Girl will debut October 16, 2012 through A&M/Octone. The album follows the release of 2009’s acclaimed sophomore effort Troubadour, and features a diverse collaboration with some of music’s biggest talents-Bono, Nas, Keith Richards and Will.i.Am. Also included on the LP collection is the Top 40 smash and MTV VMA-nominated single for ‘Best Video with a Message,’ “Is Anybody Out There,” featuring Nelly Furtado, and his current up-tempo single “Hurt Me Tomorrow,” which continues to climb the Top40 chart.
K’naan has also announced a national tour in support of the new album. Prior to these tour dates, K’naan will take part in The Global Poverty Project‘s Global Festival, a free-ticketed concert on September 29, 2012 in New York’s Central Park, alongside music heavyweights such as, The Black Keys, Neil Young and Foo Fighters.
