JOIN THE CONTEST AND WIN A
CUSTOM JIM POLLOCK ILLUSTRATION AT SUPER BALL IX
As a prize in their "Signs of the Times" photo contest, HeadCount is giving away an original custom illustration by Jim Pollock at Super Ball IX, drawn on an uncut sheet of the Pollock car prints being sold by Phish's charity Waterwheel.
To enter, fans just need to stop by the HeadCount booth at Super Ball and pose for a photo holding up a personalized signs. Whoever's photos generates the most "likes" on Facebook will then win the prize.
The photo contest, which prompts people to think about what they individually stand for, has been one of the best received promotions in HeadCount's history. About 1,000 fans have already been photographed at various festivals, as well as two dozen artists including Warren Haynes, G. Love, Questlove, and members of String Cheese Incident, Mumford & Sons and My Morning Jacket.
This photo album from Bonnaroo includes a very emotional photo of Dave Murphy from Sound Tribe Sector 9. Months after having surgery for cancer, Murphy holds up a sign reading "Life Inspires Me." All of the photos can be viewed in the photo section of HeadCount's
Anyone who enters the photo contest at Super Ball will also receive a free coupon for Ben & Jerry's Phish Food.
In addition, HeadCount booths will be at High Sierra Music Festival this weekend, where they will be raffling off a limited-edition Fat Tire Cruiser bicycle, and at Electric Forest, where they will raffle an event poster signed by String Cheese Incident. At all three festivals, HeadCount will register voters and stage the "Fan DNA Project" poll, which asks fans about the musical and political preferences.
