The first ever Eco Music Festival (EMU) announces a special offer of a $55 single-day ticket for July 2 only on sale now through Wednesday, June 29.

"As founders, we've been very lucky to actually get to go out promoting the EMU Festival alongside our marketing teams. In the mountain towns, it is rare for folks who work at hotels, resorts and restaurants to get two or three days off in a row," said EMU founder Michelin Hall. "We heard a lot of feedback asking for a single day ticket in person and on our Facebook page and we listened. This special one-day pass was created directly in hopes that this will enable more people to make it up the mountain to see some of the most anticipated shows of the summer. You asked for it, you got it!"

The schedule of popular and emerging musicians from folk to rock to electronica for Saturday, July 2 is:

Noon - Michael Thomas Smith
1:00pm - Tea Leaf Green
2:30pm - Leftover Salmon
4:30pm - Perpetual Groove
6:20pm - RJD2
8:00pm - The Disco Biscuits Set 1
9:15pm - The Disco Biscuits Set 2

In addition to the stellar July 2 line up, music lovers can hear live music throughout the festival during the Welcome Concert, Sunset Social, After Parties and an exclusive Sunday Pool Party.

EMU descends on the mountain in Snowmass Village over the Fourth of July weekend (June 30-July 3) to showcase some of the most vibrant musical acts and corporate eco-trendsetters of this generation. From mountainside concerts and events geared for fun and adventure, to an Innovation Village and poolside cocktails, EMU will positively impact both festival-goers and the planet.

EMU is designed to be environmentally friendly from the ground up with 100 percent sustainable tents, biodegradable water bottles, plates and utensils. In addition, the festival's ticket vendor will plant a tree through the nonprofit organization Trees, Water & People for each ticket sold. These efforts will help offset up to 220 pounds of carbon emissions for every tree planted, and once the concert is sold out, the festival will be offsetting 1.2 million pounds of carbon dioxide.

Tickets are available at http://www.emufestival.com/tickets. Local/early bird tickets are $59.50, General Admission tickets are $70 and VIP tickets are $150. Kids 12 years old and younger are free, with the purchase of an adult ticket.
