Orgone :: 05.24.11 :: Fox Theatre :: Boulder, CO

Orgone hails from Los Angeles, and their sound, much like the City of Angels, is a melting pot of ethnicity. Afrobeat, soul, funk and original flavors make up their witches brew.

Driving horns, screaming guitar and heavy percussion made up the body of the band’s sound. Guitarist Sergio Rios bent, jumped and wiggled every note out of his axe as he intertwined his lead lines around the keys of Dan Hastie. Seamlessly, the band moved in and out of original material and covers like KC and the Sunshine Band's "I Get Lifted."

Make no mistake, this band evokes movement. From the opening notes of the show to the last clinging chords at the end, all involved grooved. This group has played music together for well over ten years, and seemingly will have a place playing music on the scene as long as they want it. They are fully devoted to the craft and have a busy touring schedule, so get on board and check JamBase for a tour date near you.
