Noise Pop 2011 |
Seminal independent music festival Noise Pop is proud to
announce their newest initiative: Culture Club. Culture
Club, which takes place for the first time ever on February 26 and 27, brings the entire Noise Pop experience into
one location (Public Works, 161 Erie Street, San Francisco), highlighting creative individuals from the community and
beyond. With workshops, speakers, exhibits, and music, Culture Club highlights the music
world’s permeation into all artistic disciplines, emphasizing the independent, D.I.Y. spirit in which Noise Pop was
founded.
Speakers and organizations confirmed to participate in discussions at Culture Club include the Yeah Yeah Yeah's Nick Zinner,
No Age, Kid Koala, DJ Nickodemus, John Wesley Harding, Flavorpill, Isotope Comics, Cinemasports, The Masses,
Rebar, Jason Jagel, Yak Films, Turf Feinz and many more.
Tickets for the events on February 26, which happen from noon to 6 pm, are $10 in advance, $15 at the door, and
available via http://2011.noisepop.com/culture-club. The events
on February 27, which happen from noon to 6 pm, are free. More information on Culture Club, as well as full details
