ONLY NEW MUSIC OF 2010

The Killers
For the fifth year in a row, The Killers will be releasing their annual Christmas single, “Boots,” via (RED), today. This is the band’s fifth Christmas single to benefit (RED) and their only recorded music released in 2010. All the proceeds from the song’s sales go directly The Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa. The song will be available digitally at iTunes, Amazon.com and other digital providers. It will also be available physically on December 7, exclusively as Newbury Comics.

A video for the song, directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite), will launch on World AIDS Day – December 1 – exclusively at Starbucks.com/Share. Starbucks will contribute five cents to the Global Fund for every view the video receives.

“Our Christmas single with (RED) is one of our traditions as a band. We didn’t want to let it fall by the wayside just because we’re on hiatus; this cause is too important,” said Killers’ front man Brandon Flowers. “(RED) is an organization that we’re proud to help support, and we’re thrilled that Starbucks will be hosting our video for charity this year as well.”
