North Park Music Thing: Workshops and Festival

The North Park Music Thing (NPMT) is back for its third year, bringing music industry leaders and musicians together for a weekend of panel discussions, demo review sessions and more, followed by live performances. The annual music and media conference will be held at the historic Lafayette Hotel, located at 2223 El Cajon Blvd. in San Diego, August 13-14, 2010.

Panel discussions at NPMT will range from a discussion for beginning musicians, Music Business 101, to discussions on social media, music publishing, legal issues and more.

NPMT MUSIC FESTIVAL
The NXNP Music Festival will showcase over 160 artists on 14 stages in the North Park, South Park, Normal Heights and in the Kensington area of San Diego. Artists have been selected through a submission process and will come to San Diego from Boston, Las Vegas, Tucson, Sacramento, San Francisco, and of course, all over Southern California.

Confirmed performers include Exene Cervenka (Los Angeles), Dirty Sweet (San Diego), The Silent Comedy (San Diego), Holy Rolling Empire (Tucson), Heavy Hawaii (San Diego), Apes of Wrath (San Diego), Audra Mae (Los Angeles), The Tender Box (Los Angeles) and more to be announced.
