Canadian Folk Darlings - The Great Lake Swimmers - Prepare For U.S. Fall Tour

The Great Lake Swimmers are currently enjoying buzz-band status this summer as they tour the Canadian festival circuit. Having been chosen for the esteemed 2009 Polaris Music Prize, the band joins a list of previous nominees that includes Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene and Feist, among others.
The group will continue its hot streak throughout the U.S. this fall, starting with a string of choice festival appearances in August and continuing with headline dates through October (full dates below).
From being interviewed by NBC's Brian Williams to performing at Bob Boilen's Tiny Desk on NPR, the accolades continue to roll in for Great Lake Swimmers and their latest album Lost Channels.
A new milestone was reached last week when YouTube featured the Swimmers on their front page. Choosing a live song the band released this summer from their Legion Sessions series, the video has quickly shot to over 100,000 views. Check out the stunning track "Stealing Tomorrow":
