14th Goose On The Lake Fest

JUSTIN TOWNES EARLE AND BLACK OAK ARKANSAS
JOIN VENERABLE ROOTS ROCK PIONEERS' INTIMATE SHINDIG

The Goose on the Lake Music Festival after thirteen years has never been, nor ever will be, a huge gathering of thirty bands on multiple stages jammed into a short weekend. What makes this amazing festival, hosted by Goose Creek Symphony so special is the light crowd, the carefully selected music acts, and the overall energy that you feel as you gather deep in the country on a private farm an hour north of Nashville in the small rural community of Allegre in Western, KY.

2008's show was well received and featured a wide array of talent including Todd Snider, Webb Wilder, The Farewell Drifters, and others. This year's show, taking place June 5 and 6, will once again be hosted by Goose Creek Symphony, a band noted for being one of the first groups to blend a wide array of roots music, will be playing alongside artists who believe in that same concept. Barefoot Jerry is back for the second year in a row. The legendary Black Oak Arkansas will make their first appearance at the festival this year to headline Friday night's show on June 5th. The festival is also proud to have Justin Townes Earle grace the stage on Saturday before Goose Creek Symphony. Young folk act Velvet Water will be back to play the show this year, and critically acclaimed blues powerhouse Alabama Blues Machine will be performing at the Friday night show.

This unique celebration of life has been hailed as an authentic step back in time to the days and outdoor concerts of the 1960s. And, it's true. Goose on the Lake reminds one of why they fell in love with music and music festivals to begin with.
