Emmitt-Nershi Band is an incredible collaboration between two of the great founders of today's jam-grass scene. I've seen them live 4 times and each time has been more rowdy than the last.Their vast repertoire of Leftover and Cheese songs along with traditional bluegrass favorites makes any show a footstompin good time. CANOPY CLUB HERE I COME!

Off topic: Anyone notice on Obama's online q&a that is happening today had many marijuana reform questions in the top 20 all the way up until 5am this morning, then they all mysteriously disappeared?

they put on a great show, go see them if you get a chance. drew emmitt just blow's my mind sometimes. tyler grant plays base in this band, but he is one of the best acoustic guitar players out there. he and billy usually play a few songs just on the guitar at these shows, its great. you'll also get to hear some cheese songs and leftover songs, as well as some cool cover songs.

i don't really know much about salmon or cheese, but i'm pretty excited to see this band at the copper dragon in carbondale, IL! i'm really going for Chicago Farmer, but i'm expecting the Emmitt/Nershi band to be pretty awesome too.

Emmit Nershi Band rocks, cant wait to see them at Wakarusa

About that Obama forum thing....a reform on the marijuana laws might be coming soon. Ive been seeing more specials on it on TV, and it has all been pro-marijuana. Also, with the intense drug violence going on at our Mexican Border, it would make sense to legalize and tax marijuana to curb cartel/gang violence. Marijuana does nothing, the real drugs that harm people are cocaine (when used in a non-responsible way), heroin, crack, meth, etc. Keep those illegal and fight the war on the right drugs. Lets be real politicians, marijuana is harmless and better a drug than alcohol

although the act of marijuana, yes is just about harmless, unfortunatly its unfair to say it does nothing... The violence at are mexican borders, you said it yourself. Its a shame but a lot of that is centered around marijuana and this countrys great demand.

Since Leftover Salmon played such a great show at 10klf last year, Emmitt-Nershi Band would be the perfect addition to this summers lineup...

If you don't like it don't read it. Marijuana reform is often a topic that comes up on jambase. I apologize that it is off topic. This is what Obama said today: "We took votes about which questions were going to be asked. There was one question that was voted on that ... was whether legalizing marijuana would improve the economy and job creation. I don’t know what this says about the online audience. The answer is no, I don’t think that is a good strategy to grow our economy."

phishbohl if you go the SCI website it says Rothbury is "The only incident of the summer", but I have noticed some other fests have multiple side projects and most of the members of Cheese present.
