Oasis Release New EP

OASIS TO RELEASE 'FALLING DOWN' EP ON MARCH 10
EXCLUSIVE 12' VINYL REMIX TO BE RELEASED APRIL 18

Oasis
Oasis will release a new EP including remix and demo versions of their critically acclaimed song "Falling Down," as well as a new b-side rarity entitled "Those Swollen Hand Blues." "Falling Down" features Noel Gallagher on vocals and is taken from Oasis' 7th studio album Dig Out Your Soul which entered at number one in the U.K. and top 5 in the U.S. upon it's release last October. The EP will be available digitally on March 10.

To coincide with Record Store Day on April 18, Oasis will release an exclusive "Falling Down" 12" vinyl remix which includes remixes by Amorphous Androgynous.

Noel Gallagher on the "Falling Down" remix: "There's gonna be a very special release coming your way soon. Remember that Amorphous Androgynous lot I was telling you about? Well, they've done a "Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble" mix of "Falling Down." It's 22 mins long. I'll repeat that, TWENTY-TWO MINUTES LONG!! I fully expect 50% of you not to have the attention span to deal with something like that but the rest of you, I hope, will be blown away. It's a staggering piece of music. Monumental even. All superlatives will apply."

The band travel to Japan and South East Asia in March, and will play their first show in South Africa in April. They tour Latin America in May, then return to play the UK stadium supergigs in the summer which saw phenomenal demand for tickets when they went on sale last year with over half a million being sold in a few hours. Kasabian and The Enemy will be joining them on the tour and more acts have been announced for these eagerly anticipated shows. Reverend and The Makers will be joining them at the Edinburgh, Sunderland and Wembley dates, Twisted Wheel in Manchester and Coventry, and Rhys Ifan's new group The Peth will open in Cardiff.

This is not an EP ..... This is a CD Single with a B-Side! I'm more interested in the Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble Mix on vinyl. On another note, I for one don't mind seeing more (pop) bands covered on Jambase. I don't view this site just for coverage of my fav jambands. I do think the site has more integrity than to cover Brittney or Kelly Clarkson, or any of that ilk. But I don't have a problem with them covering Oasis.

I'll put my life in the hands of this rock n roll band. Great songwriters, looking forward to hearing it.

If you ever get a chance, check out the video clip of the fan attacking the guitar player on stage from last year 2 minutes into thier first song, funny stuff.

It's hilarious how so many Americans have this fundamental hatred towards UK/European bands. I wonder if it's genetic/hereditary, dating back to colonial times. My mother is British-born and raised, so I couldn't possibly know if that is true or not. What's The Story (Morning Glory) is an amazing album. I'll always give Oasis a chance.

Oasis has talent. Even some good songs. But when you add the asshole factor to the mix, it really knocks them down quite a bit with their legacy. Hopefully Kanye will follow in their diva bitch footsteps.
