LADY SOVEREIGN EMBARKS ON NORTH AMERICAN TOUR

Lady Sovereign
Everyone's favorite pint-sized rapper is hopping back to this side of the pond for a month-long flurry of her always-thrilling live shows. From humble beginnings playing small clubs just 2 years ago, to being the main opening support for Gwen Stefani's tour to playing for 1 million people at Times Square on New Years Eve, Lady Sovereign's live show is obviously nothing to be taken lightly. She's embarking on these dates with Chicago-based DJ Annalyze as well as a live drummer. With a new album (Jigsaw), a new smash hit single and video ("So Human"), as well as her own record label through EMI (Midget Records), this is quickly becoming Sov's year.

"Some of the most wicked rhymes this side of Eminem. Rarely has simple boredom birthed such unbridled brilliance." -ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY

"Unlike most women in today's pop scene, who embellish their musical skills with flashy choreography and an acting gig on the side, Sov takes the route of a hard-core male rapper, demanding that her skills alone determine any judgment." - LOS ANGELES TIMES

Hahaha, just yesterday I was wondering whatever happened to her, for whatever reason.

"if you love me then thank you, if you hate me then fuck you" this guy i know showed me the video for her song love me or hate me about 8 months ago and i have never heard of her again until now and it seems that this song would fit for jambase

this pop crap is taking up print that could be dedicated to on the rise bands who really need the support. Been seeing a lot more bands on the jambase newswire that don't fit the parameters of jambase. Wonder if it's a $ thing? Do acts like Lady Sovereign pay to get their news on here? anybody know?

The premise of Jambase is not jam music, but live music.

Live music... sure, no talent... Lady Sovereign.... I could think of a lot more artists I would see live that are not posted on Jambase compared to Lady Sovereign.

Last time Lady Sov played House of Blues in San Diego:

She sold less than 200 tickets to a venue that holds 1,000! She postponed the show hoping to get more sales but more people actually returned their tickets during that time than bought tickets!

Lady Sovereign coverage = A Jambase low!
