Bon Iver: Free Pre-Stream Of Blood Bank EP

Stream Bon Iver's Blood Bank

Bon Iver
Our favorite breakout artist of 2008 was easily Bon Iver. Justin Vernon's For Emma, Forever Ago topped many Best Of 2008 lists and was viewed as a revelation by fans far and wide.

To say we are eagerly awaiting his four-song follow EP Blood Bank would be an understatement. The album is set for release on January 20 through Jagjaguwar, but the good people at Camp Iver are letting you listen to the whole thing for free at www.myspace.com/boniver. So stop wasting time and get some new Bon Iver in your headspace.

Check out exclusive feature/interview with Bon Iver here, and peep our recent double live-review here.

I've been meaning to check this guy out... I met a really nice couple at a Wilco show who explained how he recorded "For Emma"... seemed interesting.

He has been touring, somewhat extensively actually. I caught him this fall and was very impressed with the show. The band's ability to recreate and even improve on the delicate beauty of the album was phenomenal. I recommend checking out the Daytrotter session to get a feel for their live sound. (If you haven't heard of the Daytrotter sessions be sure to check them out for other artists as well. A really great way to get an introduction to bands you may have heard about but not gotten a chance to check out.)

I've never seen rage like I have on Jambase. I like how they call it "Jambase Community," ha! simple criticism - A handful of US dates and a Euro-run is nice - but a simple call for a diverse US run is hardly an antagonistic criticims. Classy.
