My Bloody Valentine Lead Lineup for New York's All Tomorrow's Parties

After 16 long years, My Bloody Valentine will once again play in America. Not only will the legendary act perform, but they have been selected to curate the New York installment of All Tomorrow's Parties.

Set to go down September 19-21 at Kutshers Country Club in Monticello, New York, MBV have announced the first of their 30 acts set to appear, including many bands performing albums in their entirety.

My Bloody Valentine
Initial Lineup for New York's ATP:
My Bloody Valentine
Built to Spill performing Perfect From Now On
Thurston Moore performing Psychic Hearts
Meat Puppets performing Meat Puppets II
Tortoise performing Millions Now Living Will Never Die
Fuck Buttons
The Drones
Wooden Shjips
Edan with Dagha
Thee Silver Mount Zion Orchestra

Just like the infamous British ATPs, ATP New York is a very small event. There will only be 3000 tickets sold and all attendees will live on the site for three days, staying in motel and hotel rooms. No single day passes will be sold. Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 25, at 10:00 a.m. EST the ATP website.

Limited accommodations are available on-site in motel-like rooms that sleep 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 people. Accommodations are sold by the room in three day blocks only (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). You are permitted to have any number up to the maximum occupancy in the room. For example, if you wish to purchase a four person occupancy room, you are permitted to have 1 - 4 people sharing the room during the event, and the price is the same for the room, regardless of how many people stay. Each person will still need a festival pass.

Accommodation only comes as a three-day package, you cannot buy just a single night. Check-in is from 11 a.m. on Friday September 19 and check out is 10 a.m. sharp on Monday September 22.

The following room configurations are available. Please note that these are all extremely limited.

Room Configurations Maximum Occupancy PRICE for 3 nights:

1 double bed, 1 single bed 3 $450
1 double bed, 1 single bed, 1 fold out bed 4 $600
1 double bed, 1 single bed (or fold out bed), 1 sofa bed 5 $750
1 double bed, 2 single bed, 1 fold out bed 5 $750
2 double beds, 1 sofa bed 6 $900
2 double beds, 2 single bed 6 $900
2 double beds, 1 sofa bed, 1 fold out bed 7 $1050

You should work out ahead of time how many people you wish to buy tickets for and share accommodations with, then decide who is going to be the ticket buyer. You will be asked first how many festival passes you wish to buy. These cost $225 each and will gain you entrance into the three day festival including all performances, plus applicable booking fee.

You will then be asked whether you wish to purchase accommodations. If you choose yes, you will be asked which room you wish to purchase and how many people you intend on having sleep in it.

Please note that the person whose credit card is used to purchase the tickets will be required to be present at the site to collect the tickets in an effort to prevent scalping. If the person whose credit card is used cannot be present, a photocopy of the front and back of their card along with the email confirmation letter they received when purchasing the tickets will be required.

More acts and information will be announced shortly.

Thurston is the man. Sonic Youth is one of the most influential bands of all time. Psychic Hearts is the real deal, check it out if you're lucky enough to go. Peace

Sonic Youth ain't all that. They are way hyped too up. And Thurston Moorse is a pretentious douchebag. And My Bloody Valentine didn't exactly live up to the iconic, legendary status that has been bestowed upon them. I gave Loveless a listen the other day. Although good, I wouldn't say it was great. Not very memorable by any means.

Wow, this looks like a really amazing intimate setting for some sweet bands. I know have a favorite name on Jambase as well, "myfavoritebandisthebestyourssucks". You just made my day before I even read your equally awesome comment. Why is someone a loser if they are over 40 and listen to (God I hate using this term) "indie rock".

Holly shit! This looks amazing. Get your earplugs ready! This will be LOUD!!!

Bonnaroo to Rothbury to ACL is LiberalsForMichaleSavage2008/USCTrojansForLife and a bunch of other handles that you said "Lord - what a fucking dick".

I'm not one of those dicks who thinks that anyone who bashes an artist is an ass, but to do so without any articulation of your position is mentally lazy - and this cat's brain cells are couch taters.

Please ignore him. Total dick. No musical taste (big Amy Weinhouse and Jack Johnson fan) and is only here to bash and give a rise. I'm guilty of taking his bait. When he is ignored, he goes away. But like herpes, he seems to return.

Wow what a line up!! To bad its 250$ and you cant buy one day passes. Only 3000 tickets its going to sell out quick. I am going to try very hard to go to this show. Its too bad they don't make these awesome shows available to poor people. One day passes would really be cool. But the venue is tiny. I am going to hit the lotto so Ill see you there!!

I did tell you guys what bands were the good ones in this lineup. I didnt say the entire lineup was crap. There are a couple of really good bands. Kirkbrew: why are u so angry??? How would u like me to back up my position on hating these bands?? Let's see their vocals are horrible, pretentious lyrics, and they are a total ripoff of other great bands. Is that good enough?? Also I am so glad that you have kept up with my comments that you know every single one of my past handles. It means that people are actually reading my comments. I knew I had many fans but not like this.

Oh I'm sorry Kirkbrew I just looked at your list of fave artists. Now I can see why you hate my comments. PFunk, Dylan, and the Dead are the onyl three bands you seem to like that are worth a shit. I mean come on---you cant really like WEEN. really??? WEEN??

"Thurston Moore's solo work blows","only good album is dirty"

Those statements are total douchebaggery. Have you even listened to rather ripped or trees outside the academy; that shit rocks. Fuck the meat puppets, but i'll take mbv, bts, moore, autolux, fuck buttons, wooden shjips, and low anyday. Anybody going to be at sonic youth tomorrow night in nashville? Oh yeah....PFunk is fuckin' lame

Sleewell: what crawled up your ass and died?? I only change my screen names to change things up. People hate everything I post??? Really? It justs seems that way because you probably only view articles on shitty bands. What's the point of message boards and forums if all you do is post positive things? Answer: none.
