Telepath Spring Tour

With appearances at All Good Music Festival and Joshua Tree Music Festival

The Asheville based livetronica outfit Telepath steps it up with a comprehensive Spring Tour, which includes performances at All Good Music Festival and the Joshua Tree Music Festival.

The band, which recently signed with Thievery Corporation's "Outernational Music," has been on a tear of late, winning fans with their patented brand of down-tempo breakbeat and chilled dub excursions. Truly a unique new voice in live electronic music, the three-piece from Asheville, N.C. incorporates a wide variety of sampled sounds - horn lines, rhythm guitars, Indian and Arabic musicians and vocalists – and lays them over deep groove drumming and dark, reggae-infused basslines. The result is a multi-layered journey of sound that can transport listeners from a remote village in Pakistan, to a dub studio in 1970s Jamaica, to a Philly hip-hop club - sometimes in the same song. It is this "ReWorld" approach that prompted Thievery Corporation's "Outernational Music" representation company to choose Telepath as one of its inaugural artists. The debut album, Fire One, is available on iTunes,, and

THESE guys are a group you wanna catch now. They have all ready caught fire, but enjoy these cozy shows because they won't last too much longer.

CANNOT wait for Telepath to teleport to Ithaca on 4/20. Taking the next day off for this show. (cough, sniffle)

they are just OK. I do not understand the hype here?? maybe you people eat drugs and think its great?? Its just good, its ok, its alright.. its electronic reggae, it drones and has not much direction.. I have seen them twice. the best show was the second one, they had Mike from Lotus come out on guitar, and that totally pushed them into a higher level of playing. Other than that time with Mike, I can only say, its OK. I do not hate it, nor do I Love it, where is my green eggs and ham?? :D

Yo zawada, SIGNAL path is from montana, just lettin you know. Both are stellar acts in their own way, although the Indian (as in the India) chanting that accompanies some telepath tunes is fuckin rad. signal path has em beat on the old school synth effects. different sounds but both= one big dance party!

Not trying to spam in any way here, but yes Signal Path is doing the two late nights at Kinetic Playground after WSP in Chicago. The opener was going to be Fareed Haque, but as he had to cancel, they have a talent search competition going on, and my band Deep Sea Summit from Winona, MN is one of 4 finalists and the voting is still going until midnight tonight. Won't go on any longer, but you can check out myspace for more details, and get out and VOTE. just send them a message saying who of the 4 you'd like to vote for.

sorry, shameless, but the conversation was appropriate.
