Free Backyard Tire Fire EP

Sick Of Debt
Like a kiss from grandma and some hard advice from your pa, Backyard Tire Fire greet the spring with Sick Of Debt, a free downloadable EP with some serious giddy-up in its hitch. Singer-guitarist-60-minute-man Ed Anderson raises the dusty bones of Hank Williams (Sr. & Jr.) and Ronnie Van Zant on this six-pack perfect for shotgunning your troubles away.

"We loaded into Oxide Lounge in Bloomington, IL on a cold December afternoon (12.17.07) to record a healthy dose of some acoustic Tire Fire twang," says Anderson. "There had always been talk of sitting down in the same room and doing a stripped down recording and we finally found the time to do it! Some of these songs are favorites that have been around for years and never found a place on an album, while others were written only weeks before. All of the tunes feature our good friend Jerry “Muttonhead” Erickson on either dobro or pedal steel guitar and were recorded live with minimal overdubs. The result is a raw collection of some of our finest acoustic material that we decided to make available for FREE DOWNLOAD. Please enjoy and pass it around."

Sick Of Debt track list:
1. Sick of Debt
2. I Only Cry
3. Honey to a Bee
4. Cigarettes and Coffee
5. Ice Cream Truck
6. Lost in Durango

Fantastic. These guys (although Anderson does just about everything) are great.

Wish they were headed out west with their summer tour.

do these guys have outstanding warrants on the west coast or why is there no love west of the mississippi? would love to check them out, heard lots of good things but i cant justify a cross country trip at this point.

My sense from talking to working bands is that it's hard to get a tour past the Rocky Mountains. Cities and venues are more spread out and unless you've established yourself it's a tough go to make enough money for a tour out West to work even on a practical level financially. Fingers crossed, BTF returns to High Sierra this year and builds their rep amongst West Coasters there. Flat out one of the best bands out there right now.

Tire fire is on their way up. I haven't played these for anyone that hasn't really dug their sound, message, and lyrics, from the snobbiest jamkid to others juist not into the southern rock stylef. When you listen its all really laid back, but rocks and its positive music for anytime. I've been listening to some of their live shows while skiing this winter. Its been some of my best days. Thanks for the music boys. Can't wait to hear the new one. A small band from Bloomington that is giving away a free EP that takes about 20 seconds to download is alright in my book. They are doing what so many musicians are catching onto. Send positive vibes out and it will come back ten fold instead of bitching about it find another avenue. I was in Durango this winter and having that song on this EP is pretty cool. That place is fuckin sweet. I got lost there for awhile to. Lets show some love to Rothburt Festival kids.
