Cover Alert | Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn – The Final Countdown

The latest installment of A.V. Club’s Undercover video series features the husband/wife duo Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn. Bela and Abby’s contribution to the series is an instrumental cover of the ’80s anthem “The Final Countdown.” 
The pair went all in for their performance of Europe’s “jock jam” as Fleck wore a wig that was straight out of the ’80s, while Washburn teased her hair and added a headband. Oddly, Bela had never heard the song before he started prepping for Undercover. His excuse? “I was busy in the ’80s.” Watch Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn’s fun cover of “The Final Countdown”:
