Documentary | Pete Seeger The Power Of Song

Admittedly, we throw around the term "legend" quite often around here, but when describing folk hero Pete Seeger the word seems like a vast understatement. Seeger passed away on Monday and it had us thinking back to the exceptional American Masters installment about Pete that aired on PBS in the late '00s. Pete Seeger - The Power Of Song provides a fantastic look at the incredible life that the singer- songwriter lived.

After Seeger's passing, it was hard to find the documentary online as outlets like Amazon.com quickly sold out of its inventory of the DVD. Thankfully PBS has shared the entire documentary for our viewing pleasure. The Power Of Song uses interviews, archival footage and home movies to illustrate Seeger's career as a musician, activist and exceptional human being. Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Bruce Springsteen, Natalie Maines (the Dixie Chicks), Tom Paxton, Arlo Guthrie and Seeger himself help tell a story worth hearing.

We highly advise taking 90 minutes out of your day to watch The Power Of Song:
