Colorado jamgrass act Yonder Mountain String Band welcomed 2014 with their fifth of five shows at the Boulder Theater in Boulder, CO on New Year’s Eve. The hometown heroes were joined by bluegrass legend Sam Bush for all of Tuesday night’s performance.

Towards the middle of Yonder’s second set on New Year’s, they lit into a cover of Jimmy Cliff’s “Harder They Come.” Following the cover, the band led a countdown into the New Year that ended with a huge balloon drop. Family members were brought out on stage to hug their loved ones as Yonder and Sam worked through a bluegrass-tinged “Auld Lang Syne.”
