On November 6, 2007 Lotus will release Copy Paste Repeat: Lotus Remixed. The album consists of 12 remixes by producers including DFA Records artist Juan Maclean, DJ Harry, and Lotus' own Jesse Miller. Lotus' post/electro/dancerock is deconstructed and reassembled into club ready dance, dub, glitch-hop, and IDM tracks.

The album release will be celebrated with two shows in New York. Friday November, 2 Juan Maclean will open for Lotus at Brooklyn's brand new Music Hall Of Williamsburg with J. Tonal spinning a late night set. Saturday November, 3 DJ Harry and Scottie B will each perform sets before Lotus at the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan.

Lotus' current tour has brought the band into renowned theatres nationwide including the Ogden Theatre in Denver, the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco and Park West in Chicago. The remainder of the year sees the band performing the aforementioned release parties in Brooklyn and New York, a two-night post-Thanksgiving hometown run at the World Café Live in Philly, and ringing in the New Years at Mr. Smalls Theatre in Pittsburgh, PA.

ive been looking forward to the show tonite at the cabooze for a couple months now. yesterday i get sick! today im taking daily c and drinking tons of water. i will not miss this show! im sure when i get off work some beers will help out. love the lotus.......

chicagoooooo tomorrow! first time seeing them...

anyone else going and have some free time beforehand should check out the last full moon drum circle jam of the year on foster beach (between the berwyn and argyle redline el stops on the north side). it starts at about 6:30 and goes until around 10 or 10:30ish. i've been to a bunch, there's usually a couple hundred people hanging out and some fire-dancers... a few cops sometimes patrol the area but otherwise it's really cool vibes. and there should be plenty of free parking in the park's lot. i'm planning on being there for a bit before heading to the show...

the show starts at 9 but unwed sailor's opening. has anyone seen them live? i checked out their myspace, it's cool stuff but i might just hang out on the beach instead and arrive a bit late. i called the park west, there's no curfew, so i hope lotus plays a nice long show!

Yes, these folks are on the boat, but it will only be #6.

They should get the boat a swayin', and I can't wait.

Lotus is bad ass. however, a re-mix, is usually not a very good excuse for an album. Sts9 artifact perspectives for example, its not very good.

I would have to hear this to decide, but for the most part, mehh remix? meh.

i like the h to o remix...not the best but not sub-par. lotus kills it everytime. can't wait for new years again! 2 years in a row unless something really killer is coming our way. lotus last new years had such good vibes and an awesome crowd.
