SONIC BLOOM: ZILLA FEST

SONIC BLOOM
The 2nd Annual ZILLA Campout: A Conscious Alliance Green Festival
Thursday, June 21 - Saturday, June 23, 2007
Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch Red Feather Lakes, CO

SONIC BLOOM is a 3-day camping festival that will bring music, dance, art and human performance together in an atmosphere that inspires open channels of creativity for everyone involved, especially the audience. Together with bands like ZILLA, members of STS9 (Sound Tribe Sector 9), who will be performing a very special Live PA Set, innovative DJs like Bassnectar, SOTEG, The Motet and The Glitch Mob; live painters, fire performers, Lunar Fire, puppeteers, projection artists, dancers, costumers and YOU will help us all to co-create our own world of communal improvised creative process.

You can also expect visionary art exhibits, an artist bazaar, workshops, sculpture, food vending including vegetarian and vegan options, beverage and craft vending, amazing outdoor recreation, and a damn good dance party. We encourage people to bring costumes and the giving of small gifts to fellow festivarians. Come up to the high country for what will be an experience sure to move your body and your mind.

Wow. I live in Laramie, WY and this place is only 60 miles south in the mountains. A buddy of mine has a cabin about 10 miles from this venue that I have explored many a time. A very beautiful area!!! I guess I have to go to this one, it's just too close to miss! Shame that the Mish is in limbo, but this location could turn out to be a new favorite!!!

Sounds like a plan....I'll head up to Red Feather for any excuse at all. Especially w/ The Motet playing......Just don't turn this place into what the STS9 kids did to the Mish. This show is brought to you by Ft Collins Cough.

palo, i'd be down... if i didn't have to work so much this summer (gotta pay those college bills). sooo the highlights of my summer, hopefully, will just be the les, sts9, 311, keller-dog chicago shows and maybe getting a mini-trip together to see steve miller up north.

but this looks really sweet, especially if it's out in the mountains... everyone who can make it, have fun/be safe!!

btw... everyone in the midwest area, especially michigan, should rage Dunegrass Blues and Music Festival... scope that lineup, probably one of the most underrated festi's out there, and its only the second year... 2 nights of Darkstar, 2 nights of Vince Herman w/Great American Taxi, Yonder Mountain, Keller , Particle, David Grisman, Greensky Bluegrass.... all taking place at the beautiful Sleeping Bear Dunes on Lake Michigan!

Don't forget Brother is DJing also. Brother and Lorin together are my favorite Techno dj's. I miss the old full moon parties in Santa Cruz. That was the goods. To bad they did it the same weekend that Widespread Panic comes to town. I can't miss the Panic, going ever year since 99'. Next year pick a different weekend than the panic comes to town so all the local spread heads can come get there goove on. HAve a blast, colorado neds more front range festivals. Everyone enjoy and don't miss brother, when you hear the monks chanting you know its on. everyone get ready to get funky
