On Feb. 6, 1989 Bob Dylan & the Dead collaborated on a live album. After its release, they had a successful stadium tour that featured both artists playing separately and together. Both Dylan and The Dead had reputations for experimenting onstage, and every night was a very distinct performance.
“We never knew what Dylan was going to do onstage. We would come up with a plan and talk everything through and he would ALWAYS do something different…So, after awhile, we just stopped planning!” ~ Phil Lesh
