Nu Deco Ensemble ft. Jose James Livestream

Innovative hybrid orchestra Nu Deco Ensemble are kicking off their 6th season this Thursday, October 29th with their first live stream performance, featuring a special guest collaboration with the “jazz singer of the hip-hop generation” José James, live streaming from the North Beach Bandshell in Miami, FL. This performance will also feature the music of Jessie Montgomery, Duke Ellington and a new symphonic reimagination of the music of Pharrell Williams. Nu Deco will live stream performances via their custom platform, which allows for increased audience interactivity through audience polling that chooses select pieces, digital program notes and other interactive features. New York City-based vocalist José James combines jazz, soul, drum’n’bass and spoken word into his own unique brand of vocal jazz. Inspired by artists including John Coltrane, Frank Ocean, Marvin Gaye, James Blake, Nirvana, Billie Holiday and Radiohead, his sound is one that is truly unique. “For a singer there is no greater honor than singing with an orchestra and this collaboration will truly be one for the history books,” shares James on the upcoming performance. “In this moment of uncertainty, the Nu Deco Ensemble rises to the challenge presenting world-class music in the comfort of your own home.
