WinterWonderGrass Colorado 2016

Details

WinterWonderGrass is a lot like it sounds–a heaping mix of national, regional, and local bluegrass and acoustic roots music, Colorado craft beers, wines, spirits and warm local food specially seasoned to take the chill out of winter. It’s a full-on community gathering that debuted in North Lake Tahoe 2 years ago and has been held in Colorado since 2013. The event comes to Avon, Colorado in February and Squaw Valley in April. Beaver Creek and the Rocky Mountains will provide the glowing icy backdrop.

This is the second year to enjoy a new $4 Million state of the art stage that backs up to Nottingham Lake. Of an evening, once that stage shuts down, there are late-night shows—at an additional cost—for those who want to keep going. The venue will have two large heated beer halls where the sampling, picking stages and bars will be located.

WinterWonderGrass emphasizes sustainability. Each three-day ticket comes with a complimentary Kleen Kanteen mug, vendors use compostable materials, and there’s no bottled water for sale. In fact, there are no plastics on site—no exceptions.
