Panorama returns to New York City’s Randall’s Island Park for its second installment this summer, featuring performances from Nine Inch Nails, Frank Ocean, Tame Impala, A Tribe Called Quest, alt-J, Solange, Justice, Nick Murphy, MGMT and more. The critically-acclaimed festival sits at the intersection of New York’s unique creative community, bringing together music, immersive art and innovative technology as never before.
THE LAB, powered by HP, places experiential digital art at the heart of a world-class music festival with interactive, museum-quality exhibition space and a massive 360 dome theater. THE LAB returns with an all new collection of innovative and immersive art installations created exclusively by New York City based artists. The sensory adventure continues in the massive dome, with a one-of- a-kind custom audio and visual show only at Panorama.
Building on the success of Despacio at Panorama’s debut, the festival introduces The Point this year, an open-air club celebrating New York City’s key role in the ongoing evolution of DJ culture and electronic music. The Point is a shaded, misted dance party with continuous house and techno all day and night embedded in the center of the festival. Also returning in 2017, Panorama will feature massive video screens covering the main stage end-to- end, innovative lighting design and world class audio at each of the stages.
A highlight of last year’s inaugural festival was the uniquely diverse selection of locally-sourced eats from the best restaurants throughout the five boroughs, paired with specialty drinks and craft beers that would impress any foodie.
Panorama takes its name from the Panorama of the City of New York, a nearly 10,000 square foot to scale model of the city located in the Queens Museum. Each pass buyer to the event will receive a pass for free admission to the Queens Museum to view the Panorama exhibit as well as the rest of the museum.
