About Tyler Gregory and the Bootleg Band
Tyler Gregory and the Bootleg Band’s mixture of roots and blues music music howls with a sense of passion and freedom. Tyler Gregory has proven himself to be a songwriter and performer that connects with people of all ages. Well known for being a “busker”, or street performer, Tyler Gregory’s carefully crafted lyrics and contagious melodies have been heard bellowing on street corners across the country. The addition of the Bootleg Band (Paul Coleman – violin/mandolin, Sonny Sparks – upright bass) has added another dimension to Tyler Gregory’s live performances. Coleman and Sparks are classically trained musicians, whose delivery ranges from slow and mysterious to blisteringly fast and technical at the drop of a hat. As a trio, Tyler Gregory and the Bootleg Band have been captivating audiences across the United States since 2010.
Tyler Gregory & The Bootleg Band have release three albums and toured an average of 230 shows a year. Since their most recent release, “Before the Black Powder Strikes”, they have shared the stage with bands such as JJ Grey & Mofro, Lucky Tubb, Dawes, Split Lip Rayfield, Charlie Parr, Truckstop Honeymoon, Mountain Sprout, Possessed by Paul James, Deep Fried Squirrel and more.
