About The Mayflies
The Mayflies have been pushing the outer limits of bluegrass in the greater Midwest region and Colorado since 2001. More of a rock band that is heavily informed by bluegrass traditions, their live shows are rife with hot banjo picking, stellar vocal harmonies, driving drum and bass grooves, and blustery psychedelic electric guitar work. A typical Mayflies concert is wildly energetic, interspersed with moments of delicate beauty. They will bring the crowd to a blissful swirling frenzy, and leave them wanting more.
