About The Funky Nuggets
The Funky Nuggets were formed in early 2010, stemming out of Palm Beach, FL. Originally, a three piece band, they tore into the South Florida jam band scene with great haste. Since March of 2011 they have added keyboards and found just what they needed to take their jams to the next level. This is a band that not only has traditional lyrical rock/funk songs but dance party instrumentals as well. With the help of their very loyal and daily growing fan-base, they have gained much respect and recognition in the Florida music scene in a short amount of time. T.F.N has played on the same bill as acts like Grammy Award Winning artist Cyril Neville, as well as nationally touring acts like The Heavy Pets, Zoogma, Papadosio, just to name a few. The Nuggets have also played all over their home state of Florida at such Venues as the famous Jimbo’s Place (Miami), The Culture Room, Hooligans, The Green Room, Dunedin Brewery (Dunedin), Guanabanas (Jupiter), Debauchery (Melbourne) and The Funky Biscuit among many more. In 2011 they were the featured headline acts at the Splash Naked Music Festival, FYN Winter Gathering Festival, and EarthDance Lake Worth Festival. In December of 2011 they won a national poll contest for a spot on Aura Music Festival 2012, beating out bands from all over the country. In 2012 they will be a featured act at the Orange Blossom Jamboree Festival, Earthdance Lakeland, as well as the headlining act at the B.E Music Festival, FYN Spring Bash and FYN End of Summer Bash. T.F.N has a unique sound some would refer to as Funk-Fusion or Psychedelic Dance. However, they prefer to simply say ”jam band” and are VERY improvisational in their live shows. Feeding off the energy of the crowd and falling into long improvisational jams, they never play a song exactly the same. Thus keeping every T.F.N experience unique and very “in the moment.” They’ve shown to be gaining great momentum in the Florida music scene and with no signs of slowing down. The future looks to be very bright for The Funky Nuggets
