About The Electones
One of the things we hear most often after a show is: “That was great, what do you call that music?” and we’re honestly still trying to figure that out. Since 2001 this band has been waxing it’s special blend of funk, soul, jazz, and a whole lot more to an ever widening audience in California. It’s not your average organ trio! It did, however, start that way. We played jazz gigs for over two years before we had our first rehearsal, and then things started to take a real change toward the experimental, the funky, and the danceable and away from the more standard organ trio repertoire. A show by The Electones is as energizing as it is diverse. Oh, and we rehearse nowadays, too!
