About The Badly Bent
The Badly Bent has its roots in a number of well-known bluegrass bands across the United States. Its members have been musicians since their teens and believe that bluegrass music is a music form that appeals to a wide range of audiences, both in terms of age and demographics. The band prides itself on its ability to engage its audiences through solid, tightly played music and through the connection the band makes with audience members.
The Badly Bent is establishing itself in the Southwest as one of the most entertaining and energetic bluegrass bands around. It appeals to a variety of audiences, able to entertain both the traditional bluegrass fan as well as the increasingly-popular jam grass genre of fans. The band provides the audience with a fun, musically entertaining experience.
The Badly Bent recently released its first self-titled CD project. The CD was produced by Sally Van Meter and mastered by Grammy-award winner David Glasser. The CD is being played around the world on both internet-based as well as radio wave programming. The CD contains material that will be familiar to bluegrass aficionados, as well as a number of originals and obscure bluegrass traditionals.
