About The Aquaducks
The Aquaducks are a hot new funk rock based in Nashville, Tennessee. With a quickly- growing fan base, The Aquaducks are definitely a band to watch.
Despite the brevity of their career thus far, The Aquaducks have managed to achieve a respectable level of success and harness a number of prestigious accolades. Their public debut as The Aquaducks earned them a victory in the 2012 Battle of the Belmont Bands. Shortly afterwards, they were invited to play at Musicians Corner in Centennial Park a desirable gig for any upcoming band in the Nashville music scene. The Ducks were also selected by Paradigm Talent Agency as one of only five bands in the city to compete in a Battle of the Bands at the Nashvilles historic 3rd and Lindsley music venue and 8 off 8th at Mercy Lounge. In the summer of 2013 The Aquaducks performed at Hippie Hill Festival, Music Tree Festival and Music In The Middle Festival with more festivals in the works. The music of The Aquaducks has also been featured in a number of online music blogs including GoodMusicAllDay.com. With an extensive performance history and a devoted fan base, The Aquaducks live show is gaining a buzz-factor in the Music City.
As they continue to grow and define their sound, The Aquaducks draw on a diverse set of influences and backgrounds. Funk influences such as Parliament, James Brown, and Sly and the Family Stone are juxtaposed by more modern jam band influences such as the Dave Matthews Band, Phish, and Umphreys McGee. The resulting sound is comforting and familiar, while simultaneously unique and refreshing. Their high-energy saxophone-drenched jams consistently leave audiences begging for more. The Aquaducks are still new to the music industry, but show great promise. Their motivation and determination combined with their desire to re-organize popular music is pushing them to their limits.
As anyone who has attended an Aquaducks show may attest, their music is certainly energizing and engaging. They have the ability to get the crowd on their feet and feeling the funk coursing through their veins.
