About Splintered Sunlight
Splintered Sunlight formed in 1992. “Splintered” quickly became the most popular Grateful Dead Tribute band in the Philadelphia area gaining praise from Dead Heads and Non Heads alike. Sine that time, Splintered Sunlight has become a permanent fixture for music in the Mid Atlantic regiong. The band has also maintained a weekly residency at Brownies 23 East in Ardmore, PA for years.
Splintered Sunlight has a play list of well over two hundred songs, spanning the thirty year career of the Grateful Dead (as well as numerous other classic rock songs) from which it skillfully crafts each show’s set list, carefully endeavoring to not repeat songs–let alons set lists in the same or even nearby venues.
Splintered Sunlight and its members have performed with Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, as well as former Grateful Dead members, Donna Jean Godcheaux; and pianist Tom Constanten. They have also performed with longtime Grateful Dead collaborator Merle Saunders and Jimmy Herring guitarist for “The Dead.” In addition Splintered has shared the stage with many notable Dead related acts including Kingfish, Jorma Kaukonen and Jefferson Starship among others.
Antibalas will release a new album, ‘Fu Chronicles’ in February 2020 and previewed the LP with by sharing its lead single, “Fight Am Finish,” ahead of a 2020 nationwide tour.
Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will release their fifth studio album, ‘Presto,’ early next year and will support the LP with a 2020 winter tour.
Goose will hit the road with Pigeons Playing Ping Pong for a winter tour before flying off on their own for a spring tour to start 2020.
Wilco announced their first tour of 2020, which consists of 17 headlining dates in March and April.
The Revivalists confirmed Tank & The Bangas will open most dates of their 2020 winter tour and also added an April 2020 run.
